The Future of Investing – What does the next decade hold for securities lending?

The BBH team is very much looking forward to the upcoming ISLA conference in Lisbon this month. Come hear Carla Jane Findlay-Dons, Chief Global Regulatory and Market Strategist, Brown Brothers Harriman talk about ‘The Future of Investing’. She will discuss key drivers affecting investment decisions and the implication.

It is hard to believe that we are approaching ten years since the beginning of the 2008 financial crisis and we strongly believe that we are on the cusp of a new era for securities lending.  Over the past 10 years, the industry has proved itself as resilient, adaptable, and still integral to asset owners and the broader capital markets. The industry has done a significant amount of work to restructure the business model to comply with the raft of regulations imposed upon it. The result is a stronger industry where all stakeholders have more visibility into each step of the process.

Now is the time resources can begin to pivot toward growth and innovation.  With demand environment recovering and relevance with asset owners increasing, the next decade promises to be an exciting one for securities lending.

We hope to see you at the conference to continue the conversation.
